In town to promote a show he’s judging on television, Ravi admits that his small screen stint has turned his life around.
“I became more serious about work, realised who my friends are, and gained enough wisdom to last me a lifetime.”
And was the on screen flirting with Carol Gracias and Rupali Ganguly for real? Was he a flirt? “I was a casual flirt.
Thoda rasiya to tha, phir naam bhi to Kishan hai,” he confesses with a laugh.

The poster boy of Bhojpuri cinema says he chose to do television for a specific reason: “I took it up to spread awareness about Bhojpuri films.
It’s a huge industry with presence in countries like Mauritius and Holland. Even Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan are taking up Bhojpuri projects now.”
And is he okay with doing more television? Ravi says he’s not comfortable doing soaps, but would like to do more reality TV.
“I’ll do only reality shows on television, for I believe in them. As for films, I’ve already signed three big projects.”
Ravi even lets on his special connection with Gujarat: “I shoot a lot of my films in and around Rajpipla. This is because fans make it difficult for us to shoot in UP and Bihar.”
And now that he’s got a mobile game designed on him, how does he feel?
The mobile game sees Ravi in a Spider Man shirt, dhoti and chappals. The game will have more than 10 levels and will see the actor fighting evil forces.
Ravi sounds excited, “I was dubbing for SpiderMan 3 when we planned the movie Bajrangi.
I wrote the story for it, and then we launched the game too. I have conceptualised its different elements, it’s a cool game.”
